In every aspect of Bucharest there is a wide range of contrasts to be seen, as if elementary aesthetic, moral and social values were bargained. Here and there one might find ruined places such as trading posts of Istanbul after they’ve gone through wars. These places are used for means other than what they were constructed for as population grows and new needs are to be satisfied. One thing’s clear: cultural compatibility is low, and ruins are beating out their foundations. For this variety I can’t but be pleased and amused.
